Well, we’ve got 5 weeks under our belt now since summer training began. Hopefully you’re starting to feel a little stronger or running little faster or it’s feeling a little easier. To that end, I’d like to have us do a time trial again and reestablish our speed groups for what has hopefully become your new fitness level.
Monday instead of a Hughes Park at 7PM, let’s plan to meet at Unity’s track at 7:10. Why 7:10 you might ask? Because I’ll be at Hughes Park redirecting anyone who doesn’t always read the email, but will come up to the track afterwards. We’ll run a 2MI time trial and see how things are progressing.
Similarly, at Cross Camp in June we established a volume group (your letter group). If you’ve been pretty consistently running all the workouts for the past 5 weeks in that group, then it’s time to take our training up a level. If you were an ‘E’, then it’s time to switch to ‘D’. ‘D’ will jump to ‘C’ and so on. If you haven’t been very consistent, then you should know it’s not too late 🙂. Today’s your day! We have 4 more weeks before Cross Country starts. Future you will thank the present you for putting in the work.
